Q:

Find the mean of the following group of numbers: 6.3, 5.9, 3.2, 5.9, 10.7. Round your answer to one decimal place.Golf scores for a country club member are: 72, 71, 70, 70, 70, 69, 69, 69, 69, 69, 68, 68, 68, 67, 67. Find the mean, median, and mode, in that order.Question 32 options:69.1, 69, 68 and 7069, 69, 6969.1, 69, 69none of the above

Accepted Solution

A:
The mean of the 1st question-
You add all the numbers up then divide them by how many numbers there are.
So you add 6.3+5.9+3.2+5.9+10.7=32
You then divide 32 by 5(there are five numbers)=6.4

2nd question-
Mean- add all numbers up divide by how many numbers there were
72+71+70+70+70+69+69+69+69+69+68+68+68+67+67=1036
then you take 1036 ÷15(amount of numbers)=69.06 round to 69.1

Find the median by putting the numbers in numerical order and finding the middle number, which is 69

You find the mode(most) by locating the number that is used multiple time which is 69

Therefore your answers are: 69.1, 69, and 69.

Hope that helped!! :)
